What is Whois privacy?
When you register a domain name, your contact information (email, phone, address) is stored in a publicly accessible Whois database. That means marketers or creepy people can see your Web site and then find their way to you using that information.
Your contact information can be kept private (unavailable to the public) with Whois privacy. Hover includes this free with every domain name. Many of our competitors (who boast cheap domains) will charge as much as $9.99 to add Whois privacy.
